Viineet Kumar Siingh On The Audition Of Kavi Kalash

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Viineet Kumar Siingh talks about how he did not audition for the role of Kavi Kalash. He says, “Sabse pehele mai batana chahunga ki casting directors ne iss role ke liye mera audition nahi liya. Laxman Sir was so convinced, Vaibhav was so convinced. Laxman Sir ne bola ki, ‘Mai Kavi Kalash Ji ke role me sirf aapko dekh sakta hu.’ Jabke sach yeh hai ki uss period ki koi aise tasveer bhi kuch bhi kahi available nahi hai aur maine kuch aisa kiya bhi nahi. Ek baar Upanishad Ganga ek show kiya tha lekin woh bohot alag tareeke ka feel hai. Aur woh bohot zyda, kahi search kiya toh immediately aata bhi nahi.” (“I wasn’t auditioned for this role. Laxman Sir and Vaibhav were so convinced that Laxman Sir said, ‘I can only see you as Kavi Kalash Ji.’ There are no available references from that period, and I hadn’t done anything similar before, except Upanishad Ganga, which had a very different feel.”)

Viineet Talks About The Training For Chhaava

“Toh yeh look toh kahi tha hi nahi toh yeh Laxman Sir ka conviction hai ki unhone kya dekha mere aandar aur unhone yeh cheez soch li. Also thanks to Dinesh Vijen Sir, Pooja Vijen and Madoock Films ki yeh mauka mila, toh yeh batana badi zaruri cheez hai kyuki agar yeh na hota toh yeh baat nahi hoti. Dusra, joh process hai yeh Kavi Kalash Ji ek yoddha bhi hai aur poet bhi hai.” (“This look didn’t exist anywhere, but Laxman Sir saw something in me and made this decision. Also, thanks to Dinesh Vijan Sir, Pooja Vijan, and Maddock Films for this opportunity, because without it, this wouldn’t have happened. Secondly, the process was unique—Kavi Kalash Ji was both a warrior and a poet.”)

2 bohot alag cheeze hai joh… aur pehele aise log hua karte the toh yeh side ke liye physical training zaruri hoti thi, toh waha laathi chalana , bhala chalana, talwaar chalana, ghoda chalana yeh sabki training chalti thi aur dusri taraf, kavitaaien padhta reheta tha. Yahi process me dheere dheere shoot chalu ho gayi, aur shooting ke beech training chalti reheti thi, aur kavitaaien bhi, toh yeh silsila chala hai kuch 11 mahine.” (“These are two very different aspects, but such people existed in the past, so physical training was essential. I trained in lathi, spear, sword fighting, and horse riding, while also studying poetry. Gradually, the shoot began, and the training continued alongside it. This process went on for about 11 months.”)
